(Affordable) Lightweight handlebar options
Moderator: robbosmans
All...I am beginning to assemble the parts for an S3 build and am trying to figure out my handlebar options. I prefer more shallow, compact, round bend as opposed to anatomical. I really like the Deda Newton but at 240g I would be adding 40+ grams.
I also like the S-Works compact but at $250....?
Any other models worth recommending? Maybe a Chinese model?
Thanks in advance

I went with a Williams aluminum bar. Perfect fit, light and very affordable.
Check on aliexpress
I just got a set of these 3T Ergonova's on sale for $170:

Fizik Cyrano R3 snake ? Reach and drop depends on size, but in my preferred size (380mm c-c), drop is only 125mm, reach is 75mm and they weigh only 231g while being quite cheap. The matching R1 stem is good quality and lightweight (titanium bolts) too.
ALL..Thanks for the suggestions.
BRM is right, i really don't care for the ovalized or flat top of the Ergonova and Williams
The Fizik looks closer with the Bull being more compact. I really like the weight of the 00 (175g)
Easton looks close as well.
Now it's just a matter of finding a deal on one of them.

My Rirchey classic alu bars weight 239gr @ 42cm. Not bad at all.
Ditto. Im running the williams alloy bar on 2 bikes. Good weight and price. I had the carbon version that was nice and light but broke when some asshats crashed into me. So alloy for now on.

I recently purchased a heavily discounted Deda Electa Elementi handlebar for my new build, 142cm , weights in at 221g. 4g lighter than advertised, now there's a first!
Checked out the Chinese brands and the price was very similar, so I decided to go with the established brands instead. There are a ton of discounts going at the major internet stores right now, just find one that suits your price and weight.
