Im been into mtb for over 20 years. Now its time to ta a step into the road world.
Im from Sweden so sorry for my bad spelling.
I realy like nice bikes, not becauce i need a premium bike but i realy enjoy riding well build bike with no compromise.

I will build my Emonda slr from a frameset i bid and won on Ebay. Its new from a replacement. Its H2 geometry and vipercoating.
Im realy interested in Sram red Etap but it seems hard to get in sweden? No delivery date yet and no price?
Im looking at Red 22 cranks. Need some help from someone who know what i need?
Is it Gxp i need?, and what is bcd?
I can get a good price on a crankset GXP and 110 bcd. Will that work? I will run compact on this build

For wheels i have a new set of Enve 3.4 clincher
Saddle, Tune speedneedle

Will keep buying parts and build over the whinter and will be glad if you can help me make the right decitions on what to buy.
Im on vecation in Florida now but will soon be hedding home.

Can make build photos when something happens on the build if there is any interest of that?

Tobias the Swede.

The frame should come with both bearings.. Sram and Shimano, if not any local Trek dealer can hook you up.

Frame only had headset and no bottombracket.
But what is bcd?
I can buy a almoust new compact crankset GXP and 110 bcd. But what is the bcd? I have no idea and now i am in USA and almoust on my way home. Will probably not get to a LBS earliest in more than a week? This crankset is probably sold by then? If it fits i will buy it, but dont want to buy it and then notice it dosent fit.
So....bcd 110 and GXP, is that right for an Emosda slr?

GXP is a threaded bottom bracket with "outboard" cups for an old-fashioned 68 mm wide, small diameter, threaded BB shell. Is that what the Emonda has? It takes a crank with a 24 mm diameter, 86.5 mm wide spindle.

BCD is bolt circle diameter. 110 allows compact chainrings.

GXP is correct for your frame.

BCD stands for bolt circle diameter. It is the size of the "circle" of the 5 chainring bolts. 130mm is a bigger circle. 110mm is a smaller circle. It has to do with which chainrings you can use. It has nothing to do with frame compatibility.

Lastly, these are relatively basic questions. If are not familiar with these details, I would recommend getting an LBS to build your bike for you.

Ok, thank you KKibbler for clearing that out.
I have email the seller and hope i can buy the crankset.

Through the years i have build many bikes. But all is DH or XC. New to road and first time i come across this term, but now i know. Thanks! As i wrote i like fine bikes and want to build them with no compromises if possible. If i like my builds i use them for 3 years an then sell them. If i compromise i will regret it and start with uppgrades.
I wasnt familiar with these basic knollege but im not new to building bikes. I hope this forum is helpful to some questions? I will never let anyone else build my bikes. Only exeption is if i buy a bike redy in box. My last xc is that. Specialized Camper S-works.
I will come back with more info through the build.

The trek uses the BB90 standard where the bearings press directly into the frame, similar to bb30.

Remember that Sram's GXP uses a 24mm diameter on the driver side and steps down to 22mm on the non-drive side, unlike the shimano cranks which are 24mm there whole way through.

One of the sram 24mm/22mm should fit exactly what you need

Trek has a sram specific bb kit. Trek part number 524556. Etap won't be available till next spring from my local sram rep.

Thanks nickf for the tip of Sram/Trek BB-kit. Will look into that.

If Etap is so far away im not sure it will reach Sweden before the sumer has started? My plan B is to buy Red 22 Cranks, cassette and rest of gears Sram Force. When Etap is avaliable a can uppgrade the gears. A Used Force can always be sold.

My plan was to wait with the build untill i have most of the parts i need.
Couldent take it anymore, just lay it all out on the floor.
And then just put headset together....

Is that all your parts, as I'm not seeing the seatmast cap in your picture. You'll have trouble attaching the saddle without it.
