I have used Ashima Ai2 on prolonged MTB Pisgah area descents recently without any issues.

I was debating Hope with them being a local company to me but think they'll look a bit 'busy' for the build (sleek steel roadie).
The Ashimas look lovely but I'm just paranoid about them warping etc, this being my first road disc bike and all. Am I being overly paranoid?

You might like these, http://www.xcracer.com/shop/viewproduct ... ductid=388. Other heavier 140 options on that site as well.
It's a shame that Shimano do not make a 6-bolt equivalent of the RT-99 rotor, as that rotor is a fantastic one.
I recommend either the Hope floating rotor, the Avid HS1 (or HSX) (if you can find them...I think they have been discontinued) -- or the Sram Centerline.
I find the Avid and Sram rotors to be very low noise. The 2-part rotors can wind up weighing just a bit more than the 1-piece counterparts in the smaller sizes.
For me, the Formula rotors are great (light) but a bit noisy.
