I'm on dmp's bandwagon. I have some ~2010 Zxelliums, which I feel are not too snug from the heel and the toebox and arch are a bit wider than sidi. I cannot stand mavic upper though. It feels like mattress foam, not stiff enough.

I have owned and have tried the following shoes
Lake CX330 45 / MX330C 45.5, of which the MX330C is a bit tighter even though it is half a size bigger for me.. Lake has had the flattest and widest soles so far.
Sidi energy 2007-2008 45.5 Sold, the sole was digging in to my flat feet.. Also a bit cramped from the toebox. The upper is equal to new Sidi wires.
Sidi wire 2013 45
Mavic Zxellium 44 2/3
Bont A-Two 45
Giro Factor 45 which I currently ride, upper is closer to Sidi in stiffness and feel, but still not Sidi. I could pay 1500€+ for Sidi upper with Giro's soles.. If only Sidi would do custom for us normal ppl...
