Hi riders! I'm Andrea from Italy and I want to share with you my last project: 3D Mount. 3D Mount project starts in january 2015 and after many and many prototypes I have finally reach the perfect design for the universal mount.

This mount is 3d printed and thanks to the interchangeable plastic insert you can have the garmin mount, bryton or the new Polar mount.

The total weight is about 20 grams with screw and painting. Made one at time: 3d print and airbrush panting.

One more thing! I can customize the mount! :D

Will post more photos and news soon...

Hope you'll like it - any comments etc. are welcome!
Thanks for your attention

I like, when you say customise, can you do different colours? Where abouts are you, is this available in the uk and what's the cost?

@grouk at this time I made this mount. If you have a stl file I could try to print it.

@Wonderman the color is black or yellow fluo, more colors are coming in the next months. I can customize the text, where now there is "werking". The price will be near 30 euro. I'll ship it in EU zone (also UK).

You should add a GoPro mount to the bottom, or you are a year behind in design. K-edge is already doing this and they are pretty much the standard since you can mount both camera and lights from it. The market is flooded with out front garmin mounts.

@spookyload: I'm thinking the gopro-mount on the bottom since this project was born but now I'm testing some many prototypes with gopro camera. I don't now when this gopro mount will be avabile.

Y'all's realise that RaceWareDirect have been doing the mounts you're asking for (custom colours, GoPro mounts, low mounts) for a long time now? http://www.racewaredirect.co/

@Grill, yes Raceware I think is the only 3D printed mounts manufacturer on the market now, but..... https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid ... =3&theater

Hi guys, I want to share with you the evolution of 3D Mount. Yes it's going to be made totally in carbon fiber (the insert is made with a professional 3d printer). The first prototype weight around 15 grams (with a very heavy carbon plate). In these days I'm working on superlight carbon/innegra plate, so I think to arrive at a total weight of 12 grams.

I'm sorry guys, I realized just now that I haven't attached any pics of the new carbon mount prototype.

Belwo there's the image, this was the first prototype, with the second proto I arrived to staggering 8 grams of total weight (without screw). The piece was resistant and stiff, more and more stiff...the problem were the vibrations on the road, my polar V650 vibrated and it was really annoying. SO the third proto is a little more heavy than the first but the vibrations are gone. The official weight of the 3th proto is under 17 grams.

more photos are coming in the next days.

Here there is the first little batch production.
