I am searching for a small light weight ANT+ speed sensor compatible with a Cateye Stealth 50. I would like to keep the mount as clean as possible. At http://www.thisisant.com/ I see that there are 141 compatible products. Any WW advice?

When I was looking for a new speed / cadence sensor one of the things I wanted to do was the same as you, to have a nice, clean look when finished. I ended up getting the Garmin magnetless speed and cadence sensors. The speed sensor wraps around the rear hub. The cadence sensor on the crank arm. Both do so with industrial rubber bands. While not completely invisible, the whole thing looks a whole lot cleaner than it did beforehand.
Both are "set and forget" items. DC Rainmaker's review of them is here: http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2014/05/garm ... nsors.html
Personally I've been very happy with them and it's a purchase I definitely do not regret.

i've been using a vdo z-sender for 5+ years, absolutely no issues, many many cold wet rides, also quite a few 30-50 celsius, it's still on it's second battery
i stick a small neodymium magnet on the spoke, 5x5x2mm is fine

i've seen the same unit resold under other brand names

Yes I like the Garmin unit.
The ANT+ list for Cateye Stealth 50 does not show the Garmin as compatible.
However, the ANT+ list for the Garmin Speed Sensor does list the Stealth 50 as compatible.
So go figure.
