Apparently they require human power to operate. There was no warning of this on the product's documentation, and the retailers did not offer any information about this condition of use.
They also require forward motion to stay upright (excepting a few trackies and messengers who can do a track stand). This too will be the focus of a recall in which all of our bikes will be forcibly removed from our homes and fitted with permanent training wheels.
