Hi Guys

I would like share with you that two wheeks ago I was asking in this forum about an election between the Pinarello F8 and De Rosa Protos. Well... finally I have choosen the new Cipo frame. I have seen it in person and Wow!!! This frame is just amazing!

My configuration is:
Frame Size M
Super Record EPS v3
Brakes Record Direct Mount
Bora Ultra 50 mm Bright
Vittoria Corsa Evo 23 mm
Handlebar 3T Aeronova 42 cm
Stem 3T Integra LTD
Saddle Prólogo Scrach 2 pas- Cipollini version
Pedales Time Expresso 12

I have a weight prevision of 6,8 kg with pedals.

I am hesitating about the color of the frame:
- Fluo Orange is amazing
- Antracite is more formal but with the red points of the group, wheels and pedals could be a great option also.

Your opinions and sugestions are very welcome!!!!

Good luck!
We've had no end of aggro and warranty problems with Cipollini over the past couple of years, so are giving them a miss for 2016
They look great, but medium/long term, have found them to be a mechanic's nightmare :(

Nice bike. I'd probably go orange, just because.

I have my doubt on the weight as Cipollini's tend to be tanks.

Without Pedals, Bora Ultra 2 (weight 75 grams more than the current model), Vision components and Campagnolo EPS 2015 the weight is 6,9 kg so I believe that is going to be close to the 6,8 Kg...

I have listened that the Cipollini customer service is very good but thank you for the advise!

Of those frame colours you mention, i would buy the dark wheels.
The bike would look better with a tinted darker orange.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

A buddy has the rb1k in flouro orange. Its a very much in your face color and screams look at me. The bike looks nice but almost too bright for me. He loves it and the attention he gets. I ride a red f8 and want dark sunglasses when i ride with him. Lol he loves the bike though and thats what matters. He had the top of line s5 prior...not the latest version. He really commented about how much better the cipo handles compared to s5.

Oh, he has red king hubs from the old bike and it does not look good against the orange. There is no red that will look right with the flouro orange of cipo

I'm guessing that there's a whole lot of orange fluo paint, whose weight will be added to the not painted weight. The not painted weight is allegedly either 1120 gr or 1150 gr in Size M, depending on which line you believe.

No weight is provided for the fork.

The fork is about 340 fans. The bike that I have weighted was Fluo Orange and marked 6.9 kg

Yes, smart choice with the darker Bora. I would pick the dark paint NK1.

I think you can get nice hints of colour with components and i also swear, this way you will lift the shape of the frame even more.

I does not stick in your eye balls like the fluo orange. When you really view the bike, it will probably look more sober and i think this will make the bike look

more exclusive. Orange is very difficult to match, both with red and yellow. If you don't like it, i am to blame :waving:

It's true Cipollini frames just look amazing up close. Better than any Pinarello or De Rosa.

Waiting for the pics!

The dealer told me that we must wait until January thanks to the new campagnolo record direct mount brakes.

As soon as I receive the bike I will post the pics and keep you updated with the impresions of the frame and gorup!
