Please enlighten me and let me know what is your favorite butyl inner tube. I'd guess the criteria would be a tube that holds the air and not leak it like latex... and like so many other butyl tubes. Thank you.

Michelin airstop A1 tubes, they do not thread the presta valves which wear the o-rings on pump heads. They hold air and function reliably in my experience. You can get them on sale for less than $5 ea.

Vittoria Evo 55g. Unfortunately discontinued.

Fortunately I discovered latex tubes.

Continental Race 700 Light, mine came in at 75g.
Paired with GP4000s, after 2300km still puncture free(luckily?) and surprisingly, improved ride feel noticeably!

Conti supersonic. Its all i use for the last 3 years. Normal butyl tubes but smaller and lighter. Hold air. 109g for two with valve extenders to fit 50mm rims. Also great as a spare to carry as very small, doesn't take up much room in pocket.

R'Air and lately Supersonics. Absolutely no reason to use something heavier except for the 5€ difference per bike.

Airstop or supersonics for me.
Still Latex for race wheels if they happen to be clinchers.

I also run latex in my fast wheelsets, but for touring and commuting I use the light butyl tubes I mentioned above.

I wish Conti Supersonics had valves that are smooth. I really dislike threaded valves, they seem so unnecessary.

Schwalbe SV Light. Very good air retention and no flats in > 20000 km (using Conti tyres).
Get a bicycle. You will certainly not regret it, if you live.

Used to use latex too, but just got tired of how finicky they are. Just for peace of mind switched back to butyl. But like the others here, use the thin stuff, like Conti Race Lites.

For those of you that use Supersonics, how do those fare in terms of durability and ease of install compared to the Race Lites?
