I'm looking for a winter bike, for general road training and crit races for the winter, someone has offered to sell me a 55cm Pinarello Prince FP 2009 frame brand NEW!

I was going to top up with Athena or Chorus......6 years old even new, is relativity old carbon technology, with Pinarello Prince carbon very advanced at the time, how does the Prince 2009 rack up against the new carbon bikes of today like the F8 or Dogma. Weight, strength, road ride quality?

I'm 182cm, 34 inseam. I ride a traditional Colnago C59 58cm....would a 55cm Prince FP be about right?

That sounds really small… I'm 173cm and riding a 54cm F8. I could ride a 55cm with a shorter stem (would be a 100mm, so nothing crazy short).

For a winter bike you can do a lot worse than a Prince 2009....

According to Pinarello Prince 2009 size chart a 55cm Prince - TT is 55.7cm Center to Top is 57cm

A 56cm 2009 Prince is 56.5cm TT with 59cm Center to Top

My Colango C59 Traditional TT is 56.5cm with Center to top 56cm

Obviously Traditional sizing to different from sloping

So I'm stuck a bit on sizing choice!
