What's the biggest tire you can fit in your bike ?
Moderator: robbosmans
I'm interested in the BIGGEST tire people can squeeze into their bike, and actually rideable of course. Please share with pictures
2013 Fuji Altamira CX 1.1
(open mold frame, same as Bianchi Zolder Disc, Nashbar)
Front: Kenda Slant Six 29x1.80, measured at 48.68 mm (1.91")
Rear: Kenda Happy Medium 700x40c, measured at 42.44 mm
about 2~3 mm of clearance

Basso GAP (and also, Coral) steel unicrown fork, 23mm vittoria tyres on 13mm rims, no problem
Got some rub onto the inner side of fork crown with 15mm rims, decided to use fork dropout inserts to increase the clearence With those, even 23mm rubino pros (measured 24.95mm with digital calipers) fit quite nicely, albeit, you can't pull a string below the crown..
ohh how I hate these vintage-semi idiotic italian "road frames"..
PS: I know it's not WW, but hey, I ride this thing 90% of the time

@Marin, show us yours!
I'm running out of bikes to take pictures. I guess I'll just have to buy more.

Continental Grand Prix 4000s ii 28c, measured at 31.2 mm on my Stans 340 rims.
I cheated at the rear though. I used some electric tape to move the rear wheel slightly lower to clear the brake bridge. Totally worth the super awesome ride!
You could also achieve more clearance with a washer in between the brake and the bridge.
I like that washer under the brake idea, although the brake bridge on my Domane was a limiting factor too.

There is a Cervelo R3 MUD in size 54 on eBay for $1500 right now, very tempted...
@ Philbar72, What's the actual width of those GP4000s2 tubulars?

BMC SLR01 2014 - 25mm gp4000s 2's or the tubular equivalent.
tried running 27mm vittoria's on the SLR01 and it is really touch and go. not worth the risk.

I had the 27mm running on SLR01 2015 version. Really thight.
2013 BMC Teammachine SLR01 - Dugast Paris-Rouabaix 25mm tubular (not measured, but they are wider) fits nicely on a HED Stinger 6 rim. Not much space under the DA9000 front brake and only 2-3 mm clearance on the NDS chainstay. All clearance is good clearance

I have a Cervelo R3 MUD coming my way... SUPER STOKED!!!
Can't wait to post tire clearance shots. Although those shots are already fairly easy to find on the internet.
This picture here is from Bikerumor. My bike is the same frameset.
