Anyone running this specific combo? I've heard 25mm are fine on narrow rims but they will rub on wide rims. True?

What year EVO ?

My brother has a 2013 EVO Hi Mod and can't run 25mm Michelin SC Pro because of frame rub. Wheels were Mavic Kysriums SL & Fulcrum Zero Nite

I have 202 tubulars on 25mm tires, no rub, plenty of clearance

The 202 tubulars are narrower than the FC clinchers but it's good to know they fit for you. Frame is a 2014 non-hi mod.

Can we revisit this topic?

Can we list years?

I just got my 2014 EVOs (non hi mod) second hand and tried to fit my Fulcrum 5 LG (24mm external width) with Continental GP4000SII 25c and I have rubbing on the drive side chain stay on both frames. I'm bummed. I'm glad I still have my old racing 3s, but I've started liking the wider rims on my CAAD 10.

Some people had alignment issue with EVO rear dropouts. Also make sure wheel is dished evenly. I use 2013 Zipp 404 FC tubs in 2014 Evo Himod team and have perfectly aligned wheel, few mm on either side, no rub at all ever.

My EVO has always had the rear wheel ever so slightly inclined towards to NDS chainstay. It's marginal and I've never had issues with rub (25 mm tyres on SL23 rims) but it's there.....

The wheel should be dished perfectly, but I'll have to have it checked. I'm really bummed that I just got my first nice carbon frame and now I won't get to have wider wheels on it. I may try to buy a Conti in a 23 to see if that works. I'd like some more aero wheels, but if I can't get wide ones also it seems like it might be a waste other than just looks and weight. I might just settle for some Reynolds Fours.
