Is anyone aware of or can recommend a light, gloss white, zero setback seatpost? I've tried various sources and all in finding are 250g+ options...

Many thanks!

Many thanks for the suggestion. New Ultimate is new to me, though it looks like a challenge to get hold of in the UK. Certainly meets my criteria though, so thank you.

You could easily have a locally sourceable post that meets all criteria painted up to match your frame.

I was previously warned against this option, due to cracking at the contact points, but I guess all white seatposts are painted...

A good painter can/should mask off those contact areas where paint might chip.

Quick update on this as i'm now even more desperate for a solution...

New Ultimate seat posts are available on ebay for a good price, but are 30.9mm so are provided with a shim to get to 31.6 - does this sound odd to anyone? Fairwheel sell them as 31.6, so it seems to me that there might be something dodgy going on.

I also need a gloss white, light (preferably carbon) stem and matching bar. I would ordinarily choose 3T, but their white Ergonova stuff has horrible red stripes on it, and I can't bring myself to go down that route.

Should I just say to heck with the weight and go for matching Colnago kit? It seems unnecessarily heavy, and i'm battling weight on this project as it is...!

I have the New Ultimate in 27.2, but the bolts are too short to clamp a plain metal rail Fizik Antares. Very weird.

The more I look at New Ultimate, the less sure I am that it's right for me, and the more inclined I am to go with Colnago finishing kit, despite its weight.

Has anyone tried the Colnago Nemesis stem? Any good (apart from the weight penalty)?

I would go for the colnago kit because colnagos are heavy anyway so no point going weenie on a Colnago.

Light weight two words :)

Lightweight as one word is a brand (in the context of WeightWeenies)

If it's white, it isn't light.
As stated before, Colnagos are not particularly light in the first place, but they are sure pretty to look at (and nice to ride). If you want to go light weight, consider forgoing the attempts to match the Colnago paint job. You may also want to strip the 'nago of its paint. You can even use Lightweight wheels!

Quite right prendrefeu. Updated the thread title.

I'm inclined to agree on the Colnago finishing kit too. It just upsets me to have what is likely to be a £6k+, 7kg++ steed!

I have a Nemesis stem here that I was going to use on an upcoming C59 build. Plan was to pair it with some Deda Presa bars as the gloss finish on each match both themselves and the frame really well.

I doubt I will use either of the above though, aside from the paint finish on the stem, the overall weight, heavy faceplate and just makes it feel cheap.

Despite having a more of a matt finish I'm going to use Deda Zero 100 bars and Deda Zero100 Servizio Corse Stem when I get round to the build.
