hello guys,

a bit of a strange question, and not WW related, my apologies.

I got a good deal on a Stages ultegra 6700 crankarm.
I want to upgrade my crankset to a newer model from Shimano and was wondering which models color would match the Ultegra 6700 silver best?

Should I buy the 5800 crankset in silver, or the 6800 crankset?
I've spend hours looking at online pictures but the lighting, angle,.. makes it really hard to judge so I am looking for some 'in the flesh' experience.

thanks guys!
But I could be wrong

are you sure? the 6800 crankset looks a lot darker in pictures than the 6700 arm in silver.

Of course he's sure.

A guy quickly making ten junk posts to get 5% off at Starbike would make sure his posts are correct, now wouldn't he?

I think the 6700 silver is slightly darker than the 5800 silver.
6800 isn't even remotely similar.

ha, I guess you're right about his opinion ;)

I think I'll have to move my OCD aside because I believe none of the newer colors will match the 6700 silver, which I think falls right in between the 6800 grey and the 5800 silver. I'll just have to get used to the color difference, it's not that I'm looking down every second to gaze at my crankset.

the question now is: is there a big difference in performance between the 2 cranksets, except for weight? I'm leaning towards the 6800 crank because the back of the chainrings seem to be a lot easier to clean
