Looking at the old catalogs, one can see this style available from 1985 to 1992. C Record originally, then Athena and Chorus, as the Record design changed to a lighter one. Also known as the "aero" pedal. The back plate changed shape over the years, but the OP's pedals now look to me like original C Record from 1985.

Toe clips were available in S, M & L.

The C Record group is widely considered the aesthetic pinnacle of Campangnolo design. It underwent several significant mechanical improvements over the years of production.

The crankbolts are self-extracting, a useful feature Campy seems to have forgotten about with it's newer systems like Powertorque.

The original year RD used "fixed" jockey wheels. Later RD's went to the "wobbly" upper jockey.

The brakes were the famous "Delta" type, widely panned originally, the internals were completely redesigned and by the early '90's they worked extremely well.

The original Syncro index shifters also came in for criticism, and were redesigned along with the RD as "Syncro 2".

I have a late production C Record 7-speed group, which is just incredibly precise and shifts beautifully.

Since you raise it, I looked them up. Hardly looks like a copy to me. No resemblance at all.

I think shimano did the delta style brake first. Everyone copies everybody else. The campagnolo Groupset is just beautiful unlike shimano 600 ax. Do I have to build another bike now.

The AX brake has no resemblance either. It's butt ugly. Yes, you must build a C Record bike. (use the later bits though).

The Delta brakes were also a take on the AX brakes, but the Deltas used an aero covering. Would think you are far too young to have ever used or seen Shimano AX.

Well the resemble ace is they are centre pull and they were shimano attempt at an aero brake. Ugly as well I agree would have them. And yes I will have to buy an old mosses or De Rosa and put c record on it dammit that will be number 15. It getting out of hand.

Any year crankset is OK. Other bits should be early '90's. Must get Syncro2 and later version RD. And Deltas must be 5 pivot 4th gen. Here is mine. All C Record, including the hubs, except for the Modolo aero brake levers, and modern pedals.

How I love those old groupsets. They look so much better than modern offerings. I wish either (or both) Shimano and Campagnolo would do retro style groupsets. I currently run Shimano DA9000, which although works pretty well, looks rubbish.

I have to say that My first STI groupset (shimano 600 ultegra from the mid nineties-the blueish coloured one) is still my favourite. Current Dura Ace has just about caught up in terms of lightness of shifting.
