I'm comparing stack/reach figures for two frames; one with a standard headset and the other an integrated headset.

To get the true stack height of the frame with the standard headset should I add the height of headset component itself? Top and bottom cups?

Thanks!

the answer is no

the question is about the stack height of the frame

than add the stack height of the different headset assemblies to get the stack height for where the bottom of stem (or the lower spacer) will sit

Ergo the true stack height for comparison will include the headset... Am I missing something?

Stack/ Reach is a measure of a frame.

Use a fantastic spreadsheet like this to work out the effect of different headset stack, stem position, etc

Grill and GT56, I think you are saying the same thing!

DanW - I'll have a play with that spreadsheet, looks handy.

The bad news is that I think the alternative frame I was looking at would have a bit of a spacer tower to achieve the correct fit.
