I am looking for a set of tubulars for racing (cheapish) as if prefer to race on something used that I could afford to lose (my FC 404 clincher which I'm not willing to lose cost me a bit).
I'm used to riding clincher 404 fc. A 25mm wide rim on 23mm tire. Beautiful ride and handling and aero.
My question is can I go back to a narrow rim now like the Planet X (19/20mm wide Say on. 22/23mm tubular tire?)
How will a 19/20mm rim (Planet X tubular) ride/handle compared to my 404fc clincher ? (The planet x Tubulars would be used on a tight circuit, bad surface).
Thanks - input appreciated.
