Agree...their steel frames were unique, the carbon frames are not...they now appear generic which is unfortunate...

Most 1990s Italian frames were generic (same Columbus or Deda or Oria tubes, similar geometry, similar colors, details etc.) but were great frames at the same time.
I don't agree carbon Scapin frames are or look generic. On the contrary. These are among the few real 'handmade in Italy' frames.

I thought Scapin were different to other steel frame builders at the time in that they would insert carbon tubes into their steel frames etc...English cycles now do this...

Yes they're handmade Italian but they just don't look unique to me anymore...just my opinion ;)

I guess you are referring to their post 2000 frames and you're right. I was referring to lewdvig's post on the 90s Scapins.

I don't mind that they're producing carbon frames, just thought there's still a market for steel to be included in the line up...
