Hello, I just bought a edge 1000 but I don't like the front mount.
The front mount of the edge 810 is nice in front of the stem. The one that is deliverd with the edge 1000 is a little but higher and not so nice.
Are there front mounts for the edge 1000 so the garmin comes lower like that one of the 810?

I really like the Bar Fly 2.0 for my Edge 500. It has two positions which is supposed to fit the 800 and 810 as well, I imagine it works for the 1000 too. It mounts UNDER the bar which places the Edge computer in front of your stem instead of over it. It looks more aero to me ;)

That BarFly does not work with the 1000, it's just a couple mm too short. They do have a newer model which mounts on the left side of the handlebars though, and it looks pretty much the same. Haven't read any reviews of it though.

if you happen to have a Enve stem, there's a mount that they make that fits the 1000 and anything smaller.

Incorrect. Although the ENVE mount is advertised as being compatible, in fact it's several mm short, and unless the 1000 is in the top position, it interferes with the front plate of the stem. After buying it, I complained to ENVE, they admitted it only works in the top position and are now in process refunding me. Seems like they didn't test all edges with it. As well, the mount is not compatible with the 1000 in landscape position.

Another vote for the Barfly if they make one for the 1000. I have a 510.

I've just switched from stock mount to K-edge. K-edge mount offers much better position than stock mount.

Here is photo of my bars:

I use the k-edge XL one, like the photo above.

The old, non-XL one will also work if the faceplate of your stem is very low profile.

Actually there's a v2 Enve mount which is compatible. It took me a lot of arguing with Sigma to get them to swap mine, but they have. It also has a better quarter-turn mount that doesn't have the spinning issue.
