all of the 2014 and 2015 izalco max bikes had the acros headset. as far as i can tell from the photos, all of the 2016 bikes have a fsa (or similar) headset.
as for the 2016 range, it appears to be mainly different paint jobs and a few specification changes.
i would suggest getting a 2015 model so that you can maybe pick up a sale price.

Change out the stock Headset for an FSA or something else. Trust me
Thats what i am going to do next, thanks!

Note: izalco max comes with "acros the clamp" headset, which has a 17 mm top cap.
I see you have short reach for your height. What size stem do you have? I am 171/80 and debating a 50 or 52. I've tried both with 90cm stems and am still debating...

Very nice bike. I think I am going to pull the trigger on the 50cm. I get the shorter reach only at the expense of the 5mm smaller wheelbase and 5mm of stack height. This way I could toggle between a 100mm or 90mm stem, while I would have to stick with the 90mm on the 52.

I measure 175 cm, 80 cm inseam and ride a 52 cm, soon with a 0 offset post, should be perfect. 100mm stem now, will try a 110 mm...
My saddle height is 70.6, so I find it strange that you have a 3cm shorter inseam but a higher saddle... hm?
