When trying to heat mould my new pair of CX402s to customise the fit, I followed the instructions word for word, especially the bit about heating them in a pre-heated oven at 90degC/200degF for NO MORE than 4 minutes. Alas they came out of the oven lovely and warm but as stiff as they went in and the fit wasn't altered in any preceivable way. There's probably a degree of safety built into the 4 minutes limit but I'm too nervous to ruin a brand new pair of shoes to heat them for longer or at a higher temperature than instructed.

Anyone else had this issue?

I had the same issues. I eventually heated them longer, I can't remember how long (maybe 6 or 7 minutes) and they felt much more pliable. The weird thing is that when you mold them to your feet they feel really snug in the heel, but after they cool down and you ride them for a while, to me, they don't feel tight anymore. I even re-heated them again and it didn't help. But they are very comfortable.
