Having issues with the EE Cycleworks direct mounted brakes on my De Rosa King XS. Presently running Lightweight Gipfelsturm wheels. However, the brake holders sit too low on the wheel. So half of the pad is on the brake surface and the other half is on the wheel. Apparently, they are designed to the same specification as Shimano direct mounted brakes. Anyone have any ideas? Spoke to Craig Edwards of EE, he can't work it out either.

Buy special pads from lightweight that were made for the THM carbones Scapula F.

Check Thm carbones site.

thanks - but I already have Lightweight pads and it's not a pad issue. The brake pad holder sits too low on the wheel.

Pictures of this predicament would help.

Post some shots up taken from the side and straight on.

this is terrible news as i was heading for this arrangement. can i presume it is a direct mount issue and not for the std ee brake?

the newer EE brakes don't have the extra adjustment of moving the entire brake assembly up or down (eccentric bolt). the older ones have the adjustment bolt...the newer ones do not...although i never came across any issues with any brake surfaces yet with the newer EE brakes.

How weird! I have used my 2015 standard mount on THM CT fork, Ax Lightness Helios, and Paduano racing fork, no problems.
What is so different with direct mount version?
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

If you are describing the issue right these pads could work..
