I had 12-27 on my "flat" wheels and for climbs I had 12-29 cassete.
Now before each ride, I mount the 12-29 to my wheel and 12-27 is never used.
Soon, when I can spare some money, I'll buy another 12-29 cassette.
(I use 52-36 chainset)

5w/kg+ is domestic pro power territory...I'm a mere 4.3w/kg and I like my 52x36 with 11-28 SRAM cassette. I live in Los Angeles and I don't ever really have to climb a 10+% grade for more than a few minutes at a time. My backup bike has 50-34 with a 11-28 cassette and I prefer the mid-compact setup. The 52-36 can feel over-geared when you're cruising under 20mph on the big ring and riding into a decent headwind. A tighter cassette would certainly help there but at the expense of climbing gears.
