no BB and no seatpost ... as described in the Trek website ...

Well...
... I'm currently in the same boat.
My old frame cracked and I needed to buy a new one, this time "off the peg".
I ordered the framset and yes... it did read as if the "special" seat mast cap would be included and it was not.
Since my old bike had a Selle Italia SLR Kit Carbonio Flow Sattel, yes... carbon rails, I needed to find an adaptor. Still waiting for it to arrive.
Now I began to get ready to assemble what I could until the adaptor arrives and it was my first experience in a "press fit" bottom bracket. OK... I'm not a tech junkie and haven't needed anything new for the past 10 years other than replacing chains, handlebar tape, tires and brake pads.
So, I back go to the shop where I ordered the frame and gee whiz... now I have to order this BB90 and wait longer.
Truth is, those guys should have had some indication that these parts are not included and might have said something, but no offence to the younger crowd... they are all guys there who are under 26 and well... they probably need an "app" to think outside of what's on the computer screen, but anyway...
Perhaps such business practices have become commonplace these days, but to tell the truth... whether this is a good or even the greatest frame I ever ride, I will certainly never recommend it.
Trek has really done a sh*t job of informing customers as to what is included or is special in the description.
Indeed most people have the tendency to purchase a complete bicycle, but not all do. If they offer just a frameset, then this information should be made open and available. Then again, by doing such a practice they might hold the choices of which parts one wishes to have on the frameset to basically their own production line.
Am I bother that I have to wait to ride my "new toy"... certainly I am.
It's not a toy. It is a crucial part of my training. It basically means my training is at a standstill until I finish this scavenger hunt to find the missing parts unknown to me due to missing information.
I tried to contact TREK... as if that makes any difference... and voiced my situation on their Facebook page. I doubt anything will come of it.
Indeed this might well be a super frame, but to tell the truth that isn't the issue.
At the moment this thing is lying around in my apartment as decoration rather than being used for what I paid a whole lot of money for which is to ride outside where the weather is currently very nice.
Thanks TREK...
