Hi everyone,

Just need a bit of expert advice. I have a 10 speed cassette (TCR) riding on Mavic Carbones and also an 11 speed cassette on my other bike (Lapierre with fulcrums). Can I swap both cassettes around on their respective shimano hubs so I can put the fulcrums on the TCR and lighten it up? Or would I need a dedicated hub?

I'm presently working in an area full of mountains where the Mavics aren't much use, and I'm searching for a way to put the Fulcrums on it to make these giant climbs far easier. The TCR has a 28T cassette and I'm wanting to just use this on the newer Fulcrum Racing Zeros. My other bike has a 27T and is heavier so searching for that elusive advantage

All advice appreciated.

No haven't tried just swapping them around - wasn't sure if I'd stuff everything up by doing so.

Both hubs are 10/11 compatible, it will be fine. Just make sure to take the two spacers currently with the ten speed cassette over with it to the Fulcrum wheel.
