Hi everyone,
I am building my first road bike (Trek madone 7). I got an amazing deal on the frame on ebay. I am a bit confusion on all the small details of what is compatible with what. I was wondering what crankset would i need to use to fight a Bb90 crank and would it have to be an 11 speed if the rest of my gear is 11?

Most 10 speed chain rings will be compatible with 11 speed chains!

You could use the shimano bb and then any hollowtech 2 crank that works (7900, 6700 etc.) or any 11sp crankset would work too

Thank you for the response. I just would rather use a 7900 crank (which I can get as a much cheaper price on ebay than buy a ultegra 6800 crankset). I have also heard that bb30s cannot fit in bb90 frames. Is that true?

Also, if I were to go with a 10 speed crankset. Would I have to use a 10 speed chain or 11? Or would it make little difference?
