Upgraded the groupset on my 2004 Trek 5200 to Ultegra 6800 but am having a problem with the front derailleur. When shifted to the big chainring, the upper arm of the derailleur hits the tire.

25mm tires
6800 front derailleur
6800 mid compact crankset
Original trek front derailleur bracket

Also, the frame stop screw (the one that goes to the small pads supplied with the derailleur is off the frame - the frame bracket is centered on the seat tube, but due to the size of the new derailleur, it sits behind the tube. The centerline of the derailleur actuator is behind the tube.

I'd swap to an older style derailleur but have read that the shifter throw was changed in the 6800 group.

Anyone have a workaround or do I have it installed incorrectly?
