I thought I read somewhere the current canyons are prone to cracking. Is that true?

I think there were some complaints about cracks at the seatpost collar.

IIRC that was fixed with an updated seatpost collar, a wider one with kind of a helical sloping shape.

I read that a disc and cheaper 'SL' version are due next year...

Just hope the SL version is priced low enough for me to consider it ?

Any idea what the frame costs? 13k for the bike pictured would lead me to believe the frame will actually be reasonably priced , "relatively".

I'd be into that Evo. Would be a hard choice between the AX Lightness frame and the SLX Evo.

Canyon really makes an effort and probably has a better price since they sell directly.
As they are firm believers of comfort, i think it will ride nice just as Vial EVO.
I however am not at all convinced on the last trend of integration.
I see the benefit for designers being able to control much more of the design.
But when it runs down to users ease of upgrades, no thanks!

as far as i understand, this evo-frame will not be available as a frameset. only as a complete build (as shown above) for €13.000.-.
