Conti's over rated in my view, if you want bullet proof and easy to fit Tufo S33 are a good training tyre 260grms roll OK and are smooth not top tub smooth but good enough

I need to try the veloflex tubs but there 3x more money

Cheap tubulars, go for the Conti Sprinter. It punches well above it's weight.

+1 ... Sprinter is half the price of the Competition and just as good. Still rides pretty harsh, is tough and grippy with Black Chilli as part of the recipe, and rolls the same ... which is to say pretty good but not as well as the best Vitorria, Veloflex efforts ...

Downside is it's only available in 22mm

Your mixed up the sprinter does not have black chilli compound and is available in 22mm width and 25mm width. The gp4000s tub has black chilli rubber and is only available in 22mm width. I use both vittoria and continental tubs. i like them all.

I have been finding around suffolk on the back roads nothing last too long weather clincher tubular or tub less but I get less problems for tubs.

Actually we're both right (and wrong)

Sprinter does contain Black Chilli (see link below) ... I have one with Black Chilli written all over the box

But you're right it's available in 25mm ... didn't know that
