I got a pair of j&l titanium bolt on skewers. But i am not sure how tight is safe as i dont want to end up over torqueing it. Was wondering if anyone had experince with this same skewers or similar. Thanks in advance

Just tight enough for it not to open easily.

Pretty sure he meant tight enough for them not to unscrew easily.

I have 2 sets of these. Do them up so that they hold the wheels and don't get undone. No need to crank them down hard, since it's easy to strip the threads in the aluminum nuts.

Thanks Marin,
indeed, it's same for both cases.

I was hoping someone had a torque in nm. As just tight enough could be 4nm or 7nm. As i dont trust my hands to be all to accurate.Do you think 4nm is enough? Or should i push it to 5nm. thanks for the answers

No idea, I only use a torque wrench for cylinder heads. Plus, with the binding and stick/slip you'll get between titanium and alu, a torque reading is meaningless anyway.
