I would guess the new Oltre, when it comes, will also be a countervail frame.
Bikes:
Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)
Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

Nice bike but just boring in terms of design. Oltre is much more interesting, a frame with a special design id.
OTOH the fact it uses Viscoelastic tech is a big plus. It is something that really works so I do believe it will ride better than other superlight frames.
Don't like the fluo celeste either.

I like this quite a bit. Bikeradar said that Bianchi will start doing a custom paint option for this frame. I think that has great potential since this is hand painted frame.
@jimaizumi, it doesn't seem like this will replace the Sempre. The Sempre was a $2000 mid level frame, I think this will be a top of the line frame. I wouldn't be surprised if this was $5000+

@Goosenet, hopefully this frame will put the climbing bike in line with the Oltre XR2.... pity I can't find the XR in this livery..

Team Lotto-Jumbo's Robert Gesink's was spotted with one of these during the Flèche Wallone. Nice looking frame!

I don't get why new Oltre would have CV also as suggested above. That "technology" is left for the climbing/classic bikes, as others have correctly classified the Specialissima.
The the Oltre is about speed as others above have also correctly commented. If anything, the Oltre may see a sequel of the "X-Tex" technology, given that removing it has created the cheaper XR.1 version.

For marketing, yes. Oltre is the speedster instead. http://www.bikeradar.com/au/road/news/a ... ogy-44519/
As much as the climbing/sprinting bike arguement holds, most of us, who only ride one bike will simply go with whatever is most "appealing". While the Oltre still holds a greater level of allure for me, the Specialissima is a great looking "overall" bike. Does anybody have direct experience with their "countervail" frames? How much of a difference are we talking about?
