Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone can help with a small problem.
I've always used Campag wheels and recently had a set of Shamal Mille. Had my Record cassette on them and everything was fine.
Due to some of the black brake track coming off, the wheels were replaced.
Today I went to put the same cassette back on the bike and I followed the Campag diagram to get the spacers correct etc.
Tightened it up but when I spin the wheel, holding the skewers, and stop the cassette spinning, I can feel a sort of back and forth vibration coming through the cassette....if that's clear? It was making a bit of a noise as well and when I spin the cassette backwards, it doesn't move much but I didn't know if that was because I haven't put any miles through the hubs yet??
Like I say, had Campag wheels for years and never experienced this before....unless I'm missing something obvious?
Didn't use a torque wrench but don't think the cassette is on either too tight or loose.
Cheers,
Richie

No spacer used behind a Campy cassette.
I've had a campy wheel out of the box that needed the bearing preload adjusting. Suggest you mount the wheel on the bike and check for any play or tightness.

There's sometimes a buggy.
How many drivers does a buggy have?
One.
So let's just say I'm drivin' this buggy...
and if you fix your attitude you can ride along with me.
