Hi,

I'm looking for real-world feedback on the ROSE X-LITE TEAM frame/bike - is anyone out there actually riding one?

Specifically interested in the ROSE X-LITE TEAM-4000 (http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/bike/rose-x- ... aid:755918), which has full Dura-ace mechanical g/set and Ksyrium SLS WTS wheels, allegedly weighs 6.05kg in a 57cm, and only costs £2.7K.

Thanks!

The Rose claims weights are often much lower than actual weight so don't read into that too much. Can't comment on the bike itself but I know a few people with rose bikes and they have nothing negative to say about them.

Any idea roughly by how much? The website states +-5%, which on a 6Kg bike is 300g either way.

Claimed weight for that 6.8, but weighed in at 7.53
This is obviously not representative of all rose bikes but interesting that they were as far as 700g out.

Blimey, that's quite a difference! Although the spec of the reviewed bike seems to be slightly different to the stock model...

Conversely I have a cw3000 which is claimed at 6.95kg in 56cm, mine is 7.2kg in 58cm including pedals.

Why don't you search either http://www.roadbike.de/test.728.9.htm here or on the tourmag?

My Rose DX Cross bike was bang on the claimed weight of 9.2KG

The Rose claimed weights are excluding pedals, of course

Sorry to revive an old thread. I too am in the market for the ROSE X-LITE TEAM-4000, with a claimed weight of 6.05kgs. Has anyone actually weighed this frame to see if the actual weight is the same as the claimed weight? Thank you.

My ROSE X-LITE TEAM-8800, came with 5.80/5.85Kg for a 50cm frame.

On their website, they state "approx. 5.8 kg (57 cm frame, compact) may vary by +/- 5% due to manufacturing tolerances, weight for carbon-matt frame "...
