I've found the markers in the drops don't line up so well with ritchey bars but haven't seen this before. I doubt you will have any issues with it though, just be careful when lining up the bars in the stem

I would report this to Ritchey. This is not acceptable considering the retail price of this bar. Did you order it online ?

C260 stem is just a f***ing stupid design

It may, as Ritchey claim, better distribute clamping force ... I have no idea. Solution looking for a problem.

A stem that you have to remove tape for and which often scratches/gouges bars during normal installation is a poor design

I installed mine once, took it off and sold it

Junk - avoid

To be fair to Ritchey - generally their bars and stems are first rate

Are you sure you didn't get a counterfeit?

I agree with you! The C260 destroyed my fork tube...

I just replaced my C260 with a C220. Much... much better.

I actually quite like my C260 stem, they're fairly light and stiff given how much they cost. However they are a right pain to install and the bolts use T20 heads which few multitools have.

Forgot to mention that the C220 clamping area is wider than the 260 by a few mm's. And it's great to have 4mm hex head bolts up there again. One less tool to have to worry with.

The OP has a Canyon so the fork diameter is 1 1/4" and the C220 is only available in 1 1/8". Not an option but still a nice alternative to the expensive C260.

Good move. This should not have passed the quality assurance process.

Mine was from a major reputable dealer so I doubt it!
