I am going to put Ultegra Di2 6870 on a 2014 Madrone 5.2 build, and I am looking for crank recommendations. I currently ride a 2009 Giant TCR Advanced SL that I built up, and it comes in at around 14.5 lbs. I know I am going to jump up in weight with this build, but I am going more for comfort with this bike. My hope is that I can save weight in the cranks and wheels. I am pretty lean ( depending on the month) average 135 lbs. I consider myself a recreational rider (100 plus miles a week), enjoy climbing but due to time constraints mostly just do the Rose Bowl loop. All recommendations greatly appreciated.

How about a Shimano 6800? You won't get any better front shifting than you will with Shimano chainrings.

If you really want to drop weight, I guess you can go with the Sram Red crank and Praxis chain rings, that'll save you quite a bit.

I got a great deal on a Di2 groupset that came with a 6800, although the only configuration they had was a 175 36/52 with an 11/25 cassette. I prefer 172.5's so if I have to get different cranks I thought I would explore some other options. The DA9000 are very tempting. The Sram Red also sounds good I just wonder how much it would sacrifice the shifting if any?

I don't know if it fit your frame, but FSA K-force Light BB386EVO is a great crank.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.

My wife's bike has a 10s compact red exogram on it with the rest of the group 6870, and it shifts great. I've not done a comparison with a shimano crank on that bike though, so its possible that the shimano crankset would shift better, but I have a hard time tossing out the existing crankset when it works very well.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I have decided to use the Ultegra cranks that came with the group so that I have an understanding of how they were designed to function. I will then swap them out for lighter cranks to see if there is, in fact, a trade-off in functionality. I will post an update when I do.

BB90 is the limiting factor. The FSA K-force BB386 crank won't work (30mm axle). You'll have to use something with a 24mm (or GXP) axle. I have a 2013 Madone and went with the DA9000 cranks. You can't go wrong with a Shimano crank!
