This crossed my mind and I took all the slack out of the limit screw to make sure it wasn't 'blocking the system' when I got home... unfortunately I'd say the damage had been done and made no difference (When I reset the system and tried to down shift or do anything the rear D would just spool or humm but wouldn't even attempt to make any progress to move) that has now changed to nothing - as I mentioned the motor seems pretty warm as if it was doing a fair bit of work when humming away. Again I wish it's something really obvious and over looked like a flat battery haha

It is relatively spotless, so I'd hate to think that junk got in there and caused a fault. I guess time will tell when it gets replaced and they can pull it apart.
