Safer? How do?

i think 25mm be safer for rim in puncture case (less exposed to grind on tarmac)

Sorry to be bringing up an old subject, but I recently got a pair of Bora 50's and used this thread for deciding what tire to buy and went with the Conti 4000s II 23mm, but contrary to previous poster's experience, mine only measure 23.8mm at 100 psi. Does anyone know if Conti has made changes to this model since this thread was made? If so, their 25mm model might be of interest if it is more closely to 25mm than previous.

As a bonus the pair only weighted 199g and 208g respectively compared to the official 215g.
No changes

I’ve just put a set of the new (wider) attack / force on my bora 35s and they measure, 25.40mm front and 26.7mm rear. So pretty much what you’d expect from Conti’s. Was on a set 25/28c set of Vittora corsas G+ previously. The attack / force weighed in at 370g for the pair so took a cool 155g off in the process. Will see how they ride at the weekend ;)

The 23mm on my Bora measures 24.7mm. Perhaps they will stretch a bit after some use. I run 90psi on mine. By the way I run 23mm on the front and 25mm on the rear.

That's what I've been thinking as well considering I've only used them on my hometrainer so far (Danish winter...sigh)

Etrto guidelines state that the size of a tirecan deviate 3mm both ways. So, you struck one from a badge stat is close to the size.
