Hey all, I lurk here from time to time but my first post.

Anyhow, I have a set of Bora One 35 clinchers on their way to me and I am wondering if anyone has any thoughts or experiences running 23s or 25s on them. Either are OK according to Campagnolo, per the seller.

I do most of my riding in the City where the roads are not always great and then some in the country where the roads are better

23mm Open Corsa CX measure 24.5mm on them. 24mm Open Corsa measure 24.5mm (odd). 25mm Open Corsa CX measure 26mm. Rubino Pro 3 Tech 28mm Measure 27mm (WTF Vittoria?). Fun!

Anyone know how Conti GP4000s measure up?

I have new Bora One 50 clinchers and use Conti 4000S 25c on them. They almost create a perfect airfoil, but in truth hang out wider than the rims by about 1mm each side. The ride is great though: Smooth all around, and stable on hard corners.

sub7kg, if you want a perfect airfoil, 100% chance of achieving it with 23c 4000S tires. The sidewalls will stand up straighter too and they'll be even more stable (not that they lack stability with the 25c tires).

What pressure are you using with the 23mm Conti 4000S II?

I have the bora ultra 50, found 25mm GP4000s way too bulbous and after experimenting with various combos ended up with 23mm gp4000s on rear and 22mm conti attack(?) on the front. Unscientific observation of course, but the wheels feel faster with the 22mm vs 25mm, especially in side winds (and very stable). Absolutely love the wheels.

We mounted Michelin Pro4 23mm on a set of Bora clincher and they look like too small for that rim.
On the other hand we hand the same wheels with a Vittoria Corsa CX 23mm and Mavic tyres 2015 25mm and they are just the perfect fit as the Vittoria 23 run bigger and the Mavic 25mm runs smaller.

Which tyres are sub 200g but have enough puncture resistance... obviously latex tubes...

I just mounted a 23mm Conti 4000S II on my Bora One 35 clincher (17c ETRTO) and it measures 24.5mm in width. The same tire mounted on my Shamal (15c ETRTO) measures 25mm in width, a full 2mm wider than it's stated size! These measurements were taken with calipers and the tires inflated to 100psi.
I would think that a 25mm Conti 4000S II would be too wide and create tire-chainstay clearance issues on my frame (Dogma 65.1).

I have 25mm GP4000S II tires on my Bora wheels (newer 24.2mm wide). Tire width measures about 26.8mm at 100 psi.

^^This is good to know. No way would the 25mm GP4000S II on the Bora Clinchers have enough chainstay clearance on my frame. Seems as a general rule then that the GP4000S II clinchers are approximately 1.5mm wider than their stated size on the 24.2mm wide Bora Clincher rims.

Here is an interesting article on 23mm vs. 25mm tires on wider clincher rims:
