it's self sufficient vs inconveniencing friend...

I don't want to inconvenience my friends, unless it's really serious. Even in NorCal if somebody has to pick me up it could be 3 hours out of their day. And I like the 3 friends I have : )

Back in the 80s I only carried two allen keys. But now there are some small light tools. And I do rides that go way back into the mountains where there's no cell reception.

There is a high correlation between the guys who never bring cash on a long ride and the guys who ask to borrow your multi-tool.

I just ordered the fix it sticks replaceable version. My WW bike has too many different bits (torx, hex, screws, etc). This makes it much easier for me.

92g and folds small, I don't bother carrying the 8mm adapter around so that saves a few grams
