How to measure your outer cables DIY ???

I'm doing my first home build and I'm looking for advice on how to measure my outer cables.

i did mine by eye

at the front the outer needs to avoid restricting bar movement or pushing on the front caliper
at the rear, smooth curve for the rear mech, and just enough for the brake to ensure it stays compressed over the full range of caliper movement

you do need to factor in the type housing and cable, with some you can go shorter than others for the rear mech, for instance nokon+powercordz allows a much tighter curve than standard housing/cable

It's pretty straight forward doing it bye eye

Use a good bolt cutter especially for the brake cables so that you don't square the way out, let yourself a couple mm of margin, my first attempt I messed the cutting, had to redo it and ended cutting a couple mm too short...
