I have a feeling if I plonked my very petite 95kg on it, I would break it. But it looks great and looks very usable.

The frame seems "heavy". AX Light is advertising 589 grams for its Evo Ultra and 650 grams for its custom Alpha. Guessing there are a few other frame makers who may be close to the 600 mark. 680 grams for the SPIN frame is more than a few grams above these numbers. Of course the 680 may be a real weight whereas the other weights are imaginary.

how time moves on! I've just logged back into this forum after some time away and see this thread. In years gone by every member of WW would have known this bike. If it was a car it would be the McLaren F1, sometimes beaten, never bettered!

(Reminds me that I must send another email :) )

No, it's a Dark Albert rear derailleur (the owner and Dark Albert were good friends)

Absolutely lush! Imagine tuning AX3000s, meanwhile you hear people who could never use anything other than DA for braking just because you never know!

what people don't realize is that its 680 grams and built around 2006-2008 if I remember....that was absolute insanity for the time.

That was very light for that time, but my 54 cm. Rue built in early 2007 is 80 grams lighter.

Donald your frame is also another that's crazy light and your build could be up here with this one. Both ultimate WW builds.
