Curious if there are any Pavé users, if so, what is your opinion?
A bit curious on this pedal, but also unsure if i should use them on my second bike or keep to Time Xpresso 10.
Inputs appreciated....

You see the add for the Coombes pedal at the top of the forums? Probably a better option. In saying that, I think both are over priced for what the are, and I love Speedplays but the pave is a rip off price wise in my opinion.

Derek, possibly. But i am looking at the float. In this respect i guess SP and Time offer more than Coombe.

I love my Bebops. They feel very similar to the Speedplays.

This is funny, is there no-one using actual Pavé?
I agree, they cost too much. Perhaps i should just stick to Time Xpresso or Mavic Zxellium?
I did see someone mention the Pavé does not start to rock as some SP Zero seem to do.
That is what made me think, perhaps i should try the Pavé.

The rolling is predominantly due to cleat wear.

So you mean that the rocking/ rolling that i read about is due to cleats are worn and has nothing to do with worn out bearings?
There is no benefit in Pavé in this respect?

I measured 3 pairs of Zeroes over several years and compared them to a 4th set that was brand new. During that time, I went through many sets of cleats.
That's the main source of the rolling. The second source is wear of the plastic shoulders of the pedal body. Interestingly, only my first and oldest pair of pedals had worn shoulders. At some point, I put a Teflon shim between the cleat and 3-hole adapter and that may have greatly reduced wear on the 2nd and 3rd pedal pairs.

It seems the cleat itself is prone to be worn out aswell as the housing on the none Pavé versions?
Do you really need to couple the cleat with an extra housing?
If both cleat wear fast and pedal body, it seems it's not the best of designs.
Xpresso cleat, even though it hasn't several parts and is only setable through the 3 holes, works great.
It seems the Pavé cleat is only working with Pavé? What is changed with this specific cleat compared to Zero cleats?

If you want to reduce cleat wear, use some speedplay sole protectors (see top of the following page) http://www.speedplay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.merchandise&promoid=CARBON%20SOLE%20PROTECTOR%20KIT With these, you wear down the shim(and since it's metal, it lasts a long long time) and not the cleats. Just a tip
