Hi everyone - I am looking for some recommendations on saddles.

1) comfortable
2) low profile (rail to top of saddle)
3) weight

Currently using a Fizik Aliante carbon rails, it is extremely comfortable but it is a bit of a chunky monkey, and the profile of the saddle makes the bike look like she's a bit of a porker. I have looked around the prologos etc.. But am a little unsure of the comfort levels

Any help or recommendations will be warmly welcomed!

If you like the Aliante maybe try the Selle San Marco Aspide. It's also got a fair bit of curve in the rear, while meeting your requirements.

Specialized Toupe gel models. I only rode the gel option models.

Weigh very little and feature minimum 'stack' height from rail to seat top with very similar pin bone feel to Aliante and Arione according to my backside.

The Toupe frame flexes considerably more than either of the Fizik saddles mentioned and as a result appeared to reduce road vibrations despite the Toupe being so close to a 'bare bones' saddle.

NB : I loved the Toupe gel for looks and seat comfort but the flat edged nature of the seat margins dug into the inside of my thighs on longer stints - I had to part ways with Toupe saddles and return to a saddle with more contoured edge. Something to consider..........

My preferred saddles, based on weight, aesthetics and comfort, are Fabric ALM Ultimate (140g) (for sub 2hr rides - it has some padding, but not enough for a full day in the saddle), and for longer journeys I prefer my Specialized Romin Pro (160g). In the past I have liked Fizik Aliante's so the shape of the Romin may well work for you too.

Hope that's of some use.

That sounds logical.

Fizik Aliante is one of the most comfortable saddles out there. I don't know what model year you have but the 2015 versions have slimmed down while retaining the same shape. Maybe you got the mountain bike versions instead? Those are quite beefy.

+1 on Fabric ALM Ultimate. It seems it has a similar shape to that of Aliante.

I have a Bontrager Serano RXL. It's very similar to the Aliante shape.

Hi all, the bontrager looks great, so does the new Fizik Aliante, wondering how it stacks up literally compared to the older versions in terms of rail to saddle height? fabric looks good too

I have the new 2015 R1 Aliante coming in a few days, can take a photo side by side. From their product marketing on YouTube it looks thinner overall in shape but the vertical depth should be identical. I sincerely hope so because I hate adjusting my saddle height!

Testing the Specialized Power right now. Not the lightest, but very interesting fit. I'll test more in hills, but so far my bars that I thought were too low now feel high. Not sure why, but so far it's all good.

I can think of 2 reasons that might be.

1) The truncated shape of the saddle has you sat further forward then you did on your old saddle.

And/Or

2) The shape and cutout allows you to rotate forward more.
