So, I found out that a local paintshop wanted to redo my S-WORKS Shiv TT. The price tag was 175 euro plus tax and I decided to go for it.
Initially, I spent some time trying out crazy paint schemes, inspired by Chris Riekert's #Starmac and others, but decided to go pretty subtle.

That is hot. I may now consider doing something like that to mine for Rio.

I water-sanded it with very fine paper. It's a time consuming process and I spent probably 5-6 hours doing it.
With sandpaper 800 you have to be really careful not to go too deep. 1200 is a good middle-way between making progress and not having to worry about ruining your frame.

I'd almost consider just buying an old frameset just to paint it up now!

Very nice bike, great job
But have you not turned SHIV TT text incorrectly.
An original SHIV on the framework, it is turned by 180 degrees.
