I do agree with you hornedfrog. Before I part with my money I'd love to see evidence bottle s won't be ejected out the front. How has this been tested? Have you recessed the screws (black would be my choice - black nylon even better!!! Can you put a think rubber strip around each arm to have some form of security?

I used these kind of cages in the past. I prefer now arundel mandible's 100 times more, I got tired of loosing bottles just to save weight with useless bottle cages... it just makes no sense.

I'm in that camp-- used btp, tune, even the emporelli dolomiti cages would lose their grip after a few months of use. I've had the same set of arundel mandibles on my bike for the past 3 years, not one bottle dropped. These kind of cages work if you're trying to lose every possible gram or if you never ever hit bumps in the road. It's one of those weight over function deals.

All of you that are losing your bottles, what kind of bottles where they ?

I was losing my cheaper everyday bottles but then I switched over to the slightly larger round Camelbak and have not lost one yet.

Hi hornedfrog,
trust me I´m an engineer!

and yes I have an edition with a transparent rubber around the arms. Not because of the fear of losing bottles - no just because of longer lifetime for the label on the bottles. Not scratching them with hard carbon fiber...

Great work so far!
That's a good grip. Can't wait for the long term reviews.
If you need testers that ride the bad Belgian roads and cobbles daily ;). (<-- the reason only Arundel Mandible or King SS/Ti works for me).

These look really nice, can't knock you for your efforts. Anyone buying a 5g bottle cage has to accept there will be compromise in some respects to anything pushing the limits like this. My 6.5g BTP uni cages are essentially the Tune Skyline but with a tab at the bottom. Getting the bottle in is fiddly and yours looks a bit easier. The test will be whether it holds the bottle as tight as the BTP.

I use the tune skyline 4grms with plastic screws.
I found at first I could not get the bottle out. A real tight fit.
I just put a few bits of tape around at strategic points and it works perfect very secure and easy easy to pull out.

I was eyeing these up about two months ago. I'm super impressed by your youtube of the cage mounted upside down and shaking bike with filled bottles not coming out. Is there any sort of warranty?
