Just use your Campy 11 speed cassette. It will work fine.

True, but on the long run, that is a expensive solution. Campy cassettes cost twice the price as shimano cassettes.
I run 9070 di2, and that cassette sure makes some crappy noises when climbing, so maybe a record cassette is better, and the price is the same?

A Shimano freehub costs around A$200, Ultegra cassette A$60 and a Chorus cassette A$120. The Shimano cassette option only becomes cheaper after the 4th cassette (5th if the OP already has one). I suspect most people would be unlikely to wear out just one cassette on their 404 as they only use them as race wheels.

I mix and match Campy 11 and Shimano 11 on my various 11 speed bikes. No issues. Some are Di2 as well.
Is the Campy cassette old and you're using it on a new Shimano chain? That could be the noise issue.

It was my old 9070 di2 (9000) cassette i meant, thats the one who is creaking. Just put on the chorus cassette on the zipps, and everything just works even with an old dura ace chain! So i'm happy. But should i go with a dura ace chain? or a campagnolo chain? When the cassette is campagnolo and the rest is di2 9070?

Slagter wrote:^ old chain and new cassette is a really bad cocktail. Would you mind measuring the chain wear with a vernier? I wouldn't ride that combo if the chain is as little as 1/4 % worn.... Chorus cassettes are quite expensive.
I don't attend to drive it that way Just tried it on the work stand.
So my next question is - Dura Ace Chain or Campagnolo chain for NEW campy cassette and NEW dura ace chainrings on 9070 Di2 ?
