gp4000s go for the II or the old version

came across some 4000s at a good price and wonder if i should pick them up or spend the extra on the 2's. what tubes are you recommending with these 23's

They are kind of all the same. I am not sure I could tell the difference, having had several sets of both. Get the lower cost version as they wear out. Only reason to get the 2s is if you ride infrequent and don't tear them up in 4-5 months and if they may last you a season or two. That way you wont mentally wonder if the new version is any better.

The difference is only cosmetic. I use Vittoria latex.

Noticed zero difference between the 2 options. From memory the tread is identical too.

Only difference is that the 2 doesn't use Black Chili on the sidewalls (thus the color option). Go for whichever are cheaper.

The colored 4000s didn't have black chili in the tread (thus the colors). The II are all black chili tread.

You won't be able to tell the difference, go for the cheaper option.
