Hello.

I'm currently looking for proper frame set for me. As the budget is tight, some chinese frame got my attention.
Velobuild R-055 just makes sense for me. But I found R-055 has copied design and it just looks like Cervelo R5. I just don't like it. Yes, I want cheap chinese frame but I don't want any sort of replica.

So, this is my problem. Any well-known chinses builders, Velobuid, Hongfu, to name but a few, are OK with me but I want just their original design, not copied one.

Where can I find one of those ?

My buddy has copy RCA frame and copy S5 frame, Zipp 808 copies and Enve 3.4 copies, Zipp, 3T and Prologo, all copies.
Nothing broken everthing works on his bikes (Shimano Ultegra and new 105 groupsets). Me, i use Dura ace, Paduano racing frame, Ax lightness frame, MCFK, Mavic CCU, rows of bars, stems, saddles etc etc mostly expensive premium components.
We are completely opposite talking our choices, but i don't downsize his choices and they work just fine.
It has nothing to do with income either, he earns more than i do and i live tight with money, he does not.
Sadly, i can't do fair test rides on his bikes as he is 13cm shorter than me, so his bikes are too small for me.
Bikes:

Ax Lightness Vial EVO Race (2019.01.03)
Open *UP* (2016.04.14)
Paduano Racing Fidia (kind of shelved)

Ex bike; Vial EVO D, Vial EVO Ultra, Scott Foil, Paduano ti bike.
