Extralite QRC-2 cranks, anyone?

Anyone using Extralite QRC-2 cranks?
How are they?
Seems a bit difficult to mount standard 110 bcd chainrings?
Do they require some special version of rings?
What is the true weight of the cranks without rings?
Thanks!

My set is the original version. Not sure if QRC-2 is a slightly different version, but ostensibly they are the same animal. Standard chainrings are OK, but there's a washer needed at the rear of cranks as one bolt screws directly into the crank.
They work fine and they are extremely light.
Anyways my set are as follows:
Cranks 416g
Octaramp chainrings 97g (50 x 34)
Chainring bolts 12g
Total 525g
EDIT: there's a couple of BB cups missing. Will give you a definitive weight tomorrow as they are at my LBS. However, their online weights (458g) are pretty accurate. So, using their chainrings you're looking at a combined weight of approx 570g.

Thanks KB!
Well, i look into some things here. Would QRC-2 crank work flawless (shifting) with Octaramp rings, like medium compact?
I heard at times the chainrings must be sanded at hidden bolt to be 100% flush.
I am mr hot pants for this kit.
Seems to Octaramps are a no brainer for this crank
Here is some info from Extralite (below)
QRC2 is compatible with standard compact chainrings 110mm BCD (5 bolt holes).
Check that also the chainring thickness is standard: at the 5th bolt should be 2.0-2.2mm
(ex: 4.0mm chainring minus 2.0mm recession bolt head = 2.0mm).
Measure it accurately, if it result more than 2.2mm your chainrings need to be modified to spin correctly.
Examples of uncorrect thickness:
1) Thicker chainring (ex. 4.3mm chainring minus 1.8mm recession bolt head = 2.5mm)
2) Less deep recessions (ex. 4.0mm chainring minus 1.7mm recession bolt head = 2.3mm)
In both cases your chainring needs a slightly deeper head bolt recession.
Note: TA Specialites are generally thicker than standard and not compatible.

I have no issues with the Octaramp rings. They work well. But I've also used Fibre-Lyte rings on the as well, and maybe TA Specialites.
The only caveat is I'm 62 and am unable to give out much power, so maybe someone else who uses them that's younger can pass comment.
When I bought mine you could only get them in 50x34 config with Octaramp, but there should be 110bcd out there that does 52x36.
As for Extralite themselves, Sergio Riva's a good guy to deal with, but you have to call him on the phone with your card details. The other person to contact is Davide Gentile at bikesonline.it (normal online credit cards). I've used both of them without issue.

I would be very surprised if you had to modify the Extralite chainrings to work on the QRC-2. Their chainrings are specifically designed to work on their cranks. But other brands of chainrings may not fit properly, so they may need to be either sanded or shimmed.
I ordered chainrings straight from the Extralite website (International Webshop). No need to phone them. I would assume the European Webshop works the same.
If you go to the Fairwheel Bikes Crank Test #4 you can see the weights for the QRC and QRC-2 without rings. https://fairwheelbikes.com/c/fair-wheel-crank-test-4/

I have no doubts Extralite chainrings works with QRC-2. What i wonder, is how well shifting is (or possible chain rub in derailleur cage), compared to Rotor with Q-rings or DA 9000 crank?
Some indications in light chainrings tend to flex a bit makes me a bit nervous.
I have no experience so i'd rather not make a purchase and regret it.
I better ask to see if someone of you overhere can tell me?

Any recent experiences with the QRC 2 cranks and Octalink? very close to pulling the trigger on them in 52-36 but would appreciate some up to date feedback.
