Do you stick a 5mm hex wrench into the DS end of the axle, and then fit a 17mm wrench onto the locknut and turn clockwise ... just like removing a Campag freehub body?

Seems unlike other Mavic hubs with end caps - the Aksium has a threaded steel axle.

Thanks.

Guy here fits 5mm hex wrench into axle end, and then uses 17mm wrench to turn nut counter-clockwise.

Tried that but very tight. So, do you turn 17mm nut clockwise or counter-clockwise for removal on Aksium?

Thanks.
